মানুষ কেন ডেট করতে যায়? এর উত্তর খুবই স্বাভাবিক। ভালোবাসার বা পছন্দের মানুষের সঙ্গে দেখা করতে ডেটিংয়ে যায় মানুষ। অথবা প্রিয়জনের সঙ্গে ভালোবাসা বিনিময় করতে। তবে সম্প্রতি একটি গবেষণা বলছে ভিন্ন কথা। সেই গবেষণা বলছে, কিছু নারী ডেটিংয়ে যায় ফ্রি খাওয়ার জন্য, প্রিয়জনের সঙ্গে সাক্ষাত বা ভালোবাসা বিনিময় বা তাকে ভালোভাবে বোঝার জন্য নয়। একে ‘ফুডি কলস’ বলা হচ্ছে।
আবার এটি শুধু নারীদের বেলায় হবে এমনটি নয়, পুরুষের বেলাতেও হতে পারে। যেহেতু এই গবেষণায় শুধু নারীদের প্রশ্ন করা হয়েছে, পুরুষের ক্ষেত্রেও এর ফলাফল একই হতে পারে।
