AEW Continental Classic Final Four Set After Dramatic Christmas Collision

All Elite Wrestling has locked in the final four competitors for its premier round-robin tournament, the AEW Continental Classic. After a dramatic Christmas edition of AEW Collision, Kazuchika Okada, Kyle Fletcher, Jon Moxley, and Konosuke Takeshita all secured their spots in the semifinals.

The decisive matches took place at the iconic Hammerstein Ballroom, closing the door on weeks of intense competition. With the round-robin phase complete, the tournament now heads into its knockout stage at AEW Worlds End, where only two competitors will advance to the finals for a shot at championship gold and a major cash prize.

Gold League chaos crowns Okada and Fletcher

The Gold League delivered one of the most unpredictable finishes in recent AEW history. Entering the final night, six wrestlers were tied at the top of the standings, creating a must-win scenario across the board. Kyle Fletcher was the first to punch his ticket. He defeated Jack Perry with a decisive Sheer Drop Brainbuster, keeping his title hopes alive. Later in the night, Kazuchika Okada sealed his place by pinning Mike Bailey, ending the “Speedball” standout’s run in the tournament.

Both Okada and Fletcher represent the Don Callis Family, giving the faction two semifinalists and a strong narrative advantage heading into Worlds End. Their victories eliminated other contenders, including PAC, narrowing the field to its final four.

Blue League comeback defines Moxley’s run

The Blue League offered its own share of drama, highlighted by a late surge from Jon Moxley. Needing a win in his final match, Moxley defeated Orange Cassidy with a sudden inside cradle, completing a remarkable comeback to qualify.

Konosuke Takeshita had already secured advancement earlier in the night. He defeated Mascara Dorada to finish atop the Blue League standings with a tournament-leading 13 points. His win also reshaped the bracket by blocking other contenders from sneaking into the semifinals. Moxley’s victory came with major consequences. It eliminated his Death Riders stablemate Claudio Castagnoli, adding another layer of intrigue to the final rounds.

Worlds End semifinals promise high stakes

With the field set, AEW now turns its attention to Worlds End, where faction loyalties, rivalries, and momentum will collide. The Continental Classic has already delivered weeks of elite in-ring storytelling, and the semifinals promise to raise the stakes even higher. Only two men will survive the next round. By the end of Worlds End, AEW will crown a Continental Classic winner, marking one of the most prestigious achievements in the promotion’s calendar.
