Fubon Research predicts Apple could sell around 5.4 million units in 2026, despite global smartphone demand potentially declining. Analysts believe foldables will be the “only spotlight” in the smartphone market that year.
Apple is also working on new camera technology. The iPhone 18 Pro models are expected to debut the company’s first variable aperture lens. However, the foldable iPhone may not include this feature. Instead, rumors suggest it will feature a dual-lens rear camera with Wide and Ultra Wide lenses, plus two front cameras.
If the foldable iPhone launches at $2,399, it will be one of Apple’s most expensive devices yet. The success of the product will depend heavily on consumer willingness to pay for cutting-edge design and functionality.
