Influencer Ashtin Earle is addressing whether she would ever step into the spotlight on Dancing with the Stars following her sister Alix Earle’s breakout success on the hit ABC competition series.
Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE at the 2025 CFDA Fashion Awards in New York City, Ashtin, 22, opened up about her dancing skills, her “dream partner,” and how it feels to cheer on her older sister from the sidelines.
While she admitted she’s “not that great of a dancer,” Ashtin didn’t rule out a future appearance on the ballroom floor — especially if it meant partnering with professional dancer Val Chmerkovskiy, who currently competes alongside Alix in Season 34.
Asked if she would consider joining the long-running dance competition, Ashtin Earle laughed off the idea but hinted that the opportunity would be hard to pass up.
“I am not that great of a dancer, so I don’t know about that,” Ashtin said, adding that if she did take part, her “dream partner” would be Val Chmerkovskiy.
“That’s a tough one because they’re all so good, but I’m biased — Val! I just love him, and it’s been great getting to know him and see them both do so well this season.”
Ashtin also praised her sister’s standout performances, saying it’s been “so much fun watching” Alix transform on stage each week.
“She is killing it and doing way better than I thought,” Ashtin said. “I can’t even believe that’s her. She continues to surprise me, and I can’t wait to see what’s next.”
Alix Earle, 24, has quickly become one of Dancing with the Stars Season 34’s most popular contestants. Paired with Val Chmerkovskiy, she recently advanced to Week 9 of the competition following an electrifying Paso Doble to Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ on a Prayer” during Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Night.
The duo nearly earned a perfect score, receiving three 10s from the judges, while Flavor Flav accidentally held up a “9” instead of a “10.”
“I gave them a nine which was an accident,” Flavor Flav told PEOPLE. “I really wanted to give them a 10, but they wouldn’t let me change it. That’s how the game goes.”
Earlier this season, Alix moved viewers with a heartfelt dedication performance to her younger sister, Izabel, dancing to Coldplay’s “Sparks.” She later credited Val for helping her “tap into emotions” and embrace her more vulnerable side during rehearsals.
The Earle sisters have emerged as major social media and pop culture figures, with Alix’s presence on Dancing with the Stars further elevating their reach.
Ashtin’s red-carpet appearances, including the CFDA Fashion Awards and the MTV VMAs earlier this year, have solidified her growing status in fashion and entertainment. Her comments suggest that while she may not be ready for the ballroom just yet, fans could see more of her in television appearances and influencer collaborations.
While Dancing with the Stars Season 34 continues Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and Disney+, Ashtin will continue to support her sister from the front row — for now.
Whether she decides to take the stage herself remains to be seen, but her chemistry with the DWTS community and fans’ enthusiasm could make her a strong contender for a future season.
As for Alix, her strong performances and growing fan base have positioned her as one of the frontrunners for this year’s Mirrorball Trophy.
