Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively Awkwardly Match Outfits at Court Showdown

Actors Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively made headlines on Wednesday after arriving at a New York City courthouse in unexpectedly coordinated outfits. The It Ends With Us co-stars are embroiled in a legal dispute stemming from Lively’s lawsuit against Baldoni and the film’s producers.

Matching Outfits at Settlement Conference

Lively, 38, appeared in an olive-green suit paired with a pale pink collared shirt. Baldoni, 42, wore a long olive-green wool coat with a pale pink scarf. The accidental coordination drew attention as the pair walked into the courthouse for a settlement conference. Baldoni was accompanied by his wife, Emily Baldoni, while Lively’s husband, actor Ryan Reynolds, was not present.

Background of the Case

Lively filed a lawsuit accusing Baldoni of sexual harassment and orchestrating a campaign to damage her reputation during and after production of the 2024 romance drama. Baldoni has denied the allegations and countersued for extortion and defamation. The $400 million lawsuit was dismissed, but the case continues with a scheduled trial date of May 18. Wednesday’s settlement conference was a standard procedure in federal civil litigation, designed to determine whether the case can be resolved outside of court before trial.

Testimonies and Evidence

Depositions have revealed behind-the-scenes tensions during filming. Actress Jenny Slate, who played Baldoni’s on-screen sister, described the shoot as “gross and disturbing” in private texts to Lively. She testified that Baldoni was “the biggest clown and the most intense narcissist.” Other evidence includes Lively’s text exchanges with Taylor Swift, emails to Ben Affleck, and communications with Sony Pictures executives. A private text between Jameela Jamil and her publicist Jennifer Abel also surfaced, criticizing Lively’s press tour remarks.

What’s Next

If the settlement conference does not result in an agreement, the case will proceed to trial in May. The legal battle continues to attract public attention, not only for its serious allegations but also for the unusual optics of the co-stars’ matching courthouse attire.
