The World Series heads into a critical stage as the Blue Jays vs Dodgers matchup continues Tuesday night at Dodger Stadium, with the series tied 1–1.
After the Dodgers leveled the series in Game 2, attention now turns to Game 4, where Shohei Ohtani and Shane Bieber headline a marquee pitching duel.
First pitch is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET on FOX, as both teams look to seize momentum in what could be the turning point of the 2025 MLB Fall Classic.
Game 4 of the Blue Jays vs Dodgers World Series takes place on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 8 p.m. ET, marking the second of three consecutive games in Los Angeles.
Shohei Ohtani makes his first home World Series start as a Dodger, following a dominant postseason run both as pitcher and hitter. Opposing him, Shane Bieber will take the mound for Toronto, aiming to silence Dodger bats with his precision and postseason poise.
Los Angeles seeks to build on home momentum after a decisive 5–1 Game 2 win, while Toronto hopes to rebound from that loss following their explosive 11–4 Game 1 victory, powered by a nine-run sixth inning.
Both teams’ bullpens will depend heavily on how deep Tyler Glasnow and Max Scherzer pitched in Game 3, which concluded Monday night in Los Angeles.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts noted before Game 4, “Ohtani’s ready. The crowd’s energy at Dodger Stadium will be key. We need early offense to set the tone.”
Blue Jays skipper John Schneider emphasized composure: “Bieber’s control and our approach at the plate will decide this one. We’ve been consistent all postseason, and that’s not changing tonight.”
Analysts from ESPN and MLB Network describe Game 4 as “a momentum game,” pointing out that whichever team wins could swing the series decisively before the travel day.
For the Dodgers, an Ohtani masterclass at home could give them a commanding 3–1 lead by midweek. Offensive sparks from Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman will be crucial to maintain pressure and preserve the bullpen for Game 5.
The Blue Jays, meanwhile, will rely on Bieber’s efficiency and contributions from hitters like Bo Bichette and Daulton Varsho to keep Los Angeles’ offense in check.
If Toronto can even the series again, the final stretch in Toronto (Games 6–7, if necessary) could tilt in their favor.
Game 4: Tuesday, Oct. 28 – 8 p.m. ET at Dodger Stadium (FOX)
Game 5: Wednesday, Oct. 29 – 8 p.m. ET at Dodger Stadium
Game 6 (if needed): Friday, Oct. 31 – Rogers Centre, Toronto
Game 7 (if needed): Saturday, Nov. 1 – Rogers Centre, Toronto
