British Fashion Awards 2025: Baby Bumps, Blue Carpet & Bold Style Moments

The British Fashion Awards 2025 delivered a night of glamour, celebrity appearances and powerful moments as some of the industry’s biggest names gathered at the Royal Albert Hall on Monday night. Designers, models, musicians and actors arrived in standout looks, celebrating achievements across fashion, creativity and culture.

This year, the British Fashion Council swapped the traditional red carpet for a striking blue carpet, setting a fresh visual tone for the evening. Among the standout arrivals were singer Lily Allen, Traitors star Cat Burns, and international fashion icon Anna Wintour, who attended just months after stepping down from her long-held position as editor of Vogue.

Pregnancy Reveals Steal the Spotlight

Singer Ellie Goulding and actress Sienna Miller shared joyful news as they debuted their baby bumps while posing for photographers. Goulding stunned in a sleek ensemble, while Miller arrived with partner Oli Green, showcasing a glowing maternity look that quickly became one of the most-talked-about moments of the evening.

Their surprise announcements added a celebratory tone to the ceremony, which embraced both personal milestones and professional triumphs.

Top Honors for Fashion Innovators

The night recognized some of the most influential figures shaping global fashion.

  • Jonathan Anderson, creative director of Dior, was named Designer of the Year, earning recognition for his artistic direction and impact on contemporary couture.

  • Grace Wales Bonner won British Menswear Designer of the Year, celebrated for blending culture, heritage and modern tailoring.

  • Sarah Burton, creative director of Givenchy, took home the award for British Womenswear Designer, applauded for her visionary leadership and craftsmanship.

Sudanese-American supermodel Anok Yai, named Model of the Year, delivered one of the evening’s most memorable speeches.

“To all the little black girls watching me right now, your colour is not a curse… you are more powerful than you can imagine.”

Her message drew applause and sparked emotional reactions across the audience and on social media.

Show-Stopping Performances & Celebrity Styles

Singer Raye energized the ceremony with a powerful performance of Cry Me a River, followed by her latest hit Where Is My Husband!.

On the blue carpet, stars embraced bold fashion statements:

  • Rita Ora dazzled in a plunging white gown.

  • Alexa Chung opted for an elegant billowing cream dress.

  • Cate Blanchett combined a black gown with a sharp tuxedo jacket.

  • Cat Burns wore a striking purple suit inspired by The Traitors.

  • Celia Imrie also appeared in a playful Traitors-themed look.

Other notable appearances included Kylie Minogue, Liam Gallagher’s son Lennon, and former British Vogue editor Edward Enninful, who posed with Sir Mick Jagger.

The event celebrated not only fashion but also performance and cultural influence, reinforcing London’s position as a global centre of design and entertainment.
