BTS’ Triumphant Return: 7 Best Moments from Their Historic Seoul Comeback

BTS made history with their long-awaited comeback concert in Seoul, marking their first group performance since completing military service. The event, staged at Gwanghwamun Square, blended cultural heritage with modern artistry, drawing 22,000 ticketed fans and thousands more lining the streets. Livestreamed globally on Netflix, it was a landmark moment for Korean entertainment.

A Royal Entrance

The show opened with BTS walking the ceremonial path from Gyeongbokgung Palace to Gwanghwamun Gate, dressed in Joseon dynasty-inspired armor. RM greeted the crowd with a powerful “안녕 Seoul, we’re back,” setting the tone for the night.

“Arirang” Reimagined

Their new album ARIRANG took center stage as the group fused traditional Korean instruments and a women’s choir with modern beats. Performing against Seoul’s skyline, BTS showcased their roots while embracing evolution.

BTS, From A to Z

Tracks like “Aliens” reaffirmed their identity, with Jung Kook referencing Hangul’s alphabet in front of King Sejong’s statue. It was a symbolic nod to their cultural pride and artistry.

Making Waves

The debut live performance of “Swim” stunned fans with fluid, underwater-inspired choreography. Jimin described it as a softer, balletic evolution of BTS’ dance style.

Dancing Through Adversity

Despite an ankle injury, RM delivered seated choreography, supported by his bandmates. Their teamwork highlighted the group’s resilience and unity.

Global Stage

RM adapted lyrics to acknowledge the worldwide audience, shouting, “I need the whole world to jump.” His playful revision of “Mikrokosmos” drew laughter from the members and fans alike.

BTS 2.0

Closing the night, J-Hope declared, “BTS 2.0 is just getting started.” The concert symbolized not just a return, but a bold new chapter for the group and their ARMY. With a world tour spanning 34 regions planned for 2026–2027, BTS’ comeback proved that their bond with fans remains unshakable. The Seoul spectacle was more than a concert—it was a cultural milestone.
