Hollywood actress Demi Moore marked her ex-husband Bruce Willis’s 71st birthday with a touching Instagram post. The Substance star shared two recent photos of Willis holding their granddaughter Louetta, the two-year-old daughter of Rumer Willis. One image showed Louetta hugging her grandfather, while another captured her kissing him on the cheek.
Moore captioned the post: “All you need is LOVE. Happy birthday, BW!” The gesture highlighted the enduring bond between the former couple, who divorced in 2000 but remained close friends and co-parents.
Moore and Willis married in 1987 and share three daughters: Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah. Despite their separation, the pair have maintained a strong family connection. Moore has been a regular presence in Willis’s life, particularly after his diagnosis with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) in 2023.
Her continued support reflects the family’s united front in facing the challenges of Willis’s health condition.
In addition to celebrating Willis’s birthday, Moore also praised his second wife, Emma Heming Willis. Sharing a photo on Instagram Stories, Moore congratulated Emma for receiving the Susan Newhouse & Si Newhouse Award of Hope at the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration’s Hope Rising Benefit in New York earlier this month.
Moore wrote: “Deeply moved and incredibly proud of @emmahemingwillis… Your unwavering support and advocacy is inspiring to so many. Love you so much!”
Emma Heming Willis also marked her husband’s birthday with a heartfelt Instagram post. She shared a throwback photo of Bruce by the water and encouraged followers to support her nonprofit organization, The Emma & Bruce Willis Fund for Dementia Research and Caregiver Support.
She wrote: “This journey with frontotemporal dementia has opened my eyes to the realities so many families face… If you’d like to honor Bruce today, please consider supporting the fund or another organization working in this space, or simply checking in on a caregiver.”
Emma and Bruce married in 2009 and share two daughters, Mabel, 13, and Evelyn, 11.
Willis, best known for his iconic role in Die Hard, has become a symbol of resilience as his family rallies around him. The rare birthday photos shared by Moore underscore the importance of love, family, and support during difficult times. Together, Moore, Heming Willis, and their children continue to honor Bruce’s legacy both on and off screen, while raising awareness for dementia research and caregiver support.
