The Fortnite Simpsons season introduces a unique mythic item — Jebediah’s Protective Helmet — now available to players exploring the cel-shaded Springfield map. The item can be found by interacting with the Jebediah Springfield statue at Springfield Town Square. Once acquired, the helmet offers protection from the first headshot but also reveals the player’s location when triggered. The season-wide collaboration runs through the end of November. Here’s how to locate, equip, and strategically use the helmet in-game.
Fortnite Simpsons players can obtain Jebediah’s Protective Helmet by damaging the Jebediah statue located at Springfield Town Square, the central POI on the new map. The item was added as part of the Chapter 6 Mini-Season 2 update, which launched in late October 2025. To claim the helmet, players must shoot or pickaxe the statue’s head, causing it to fall off. Once picked up, the helmet automatically equips and absorbs the first headshot. However, it also reveals the wearer’s location to nearby enemies when triggered.
The statue features a golden plaque reading “A Noble Spirit Embiggens The Smallest Man,” a nod to classic Simpsons lore.
Beebom gaming analyst Rishabh Sabarwal:
“The helmet can be used seriously or as a gag item — either way, it’s a standout mythic addition.”
Gamerant review:
“Jebediah’s Helmet adds tactical depth and humor to the Fortnite Simpsons season.”
Fan on X:
“Got sniped, but the helmet saved me. Then everyone knew where I was. Worth it.”
The item has quickly become a favorite among players for its blend of utility and comedic value.
Jebediah’s Protective Helmet introduces a new layer of strategy to the Fortnite Simpsons season. While it offers a one-time headshot shield, the visibility penalty forces players to weigh risk vs. reward. Its mythic status makes it a high-value item in competitive matches, especially in late-game scenarios. The helmet also reinforces the season’s commitment to integrating Simpsons lore into gameplay mechanics.
Its presence at a central POI ensures high engagement and frequent combat encounters.
Epic Games may rotate mythics weekly, so players should secure the helmet while it’s active.
