Fortnite v38.10 Update: Servers Down for Simpsons Crossover — When Gameplay Returns

Fortnite players, buckle up — it’s update time. Epic Games has taken Fortnite servers offline today, November 11, 2025, for the rollout of the v38.10 patch, and the downtime is already stirring buzz across the community. Scheduled from 4:00 a.m. ET to 5:30 a.m. ET (9:00–10:30 a.m. UTC), the update brings a massive wave of new content, highlighted by the game’s biggest Simpsons crossover yet.

Among the new arrivals? Moe Szyslak joins the Item Shop as a fresh skin, while Spider-Pig (aka Plopper) becomes an adorable new sidekick companion. The update also introduces falling donuts — a hilarious weapon effect triggered by Homer’s Zero Shard Remote, plus a mysterious “Homer Clones” gameplay mechanic that’s expected to evolve in future patches.

Epic confirmed the downtime in a post from @FortniteStatus, saying matchmaking ended shortly before the update began. All modes — Battle Royale, Creative, and Save the World — are affected globally during this maintenance window.

Once servers are back online, players can expect Simpsons-themed cosmetics, interactive gameplay elements, and even hints of an upcoming Stranger Things crossover, according to early datamined files.

“This v38.10 patch delivers the most substantial Simpsons drop yet,” one insider noted.

As always, player progress, Battle Pass rewards, and V-Bucks remain safe during maintenance. You can pre-load the patch while waiting, but expect heavy login congestion once servers reopen.

When will Fortnite be back online?
Epic plans to restore servers by 5:30 a.m. ET (10:30 a.m. UTC), pending stability checks. Full regional access will follow shortly after.

With the Simpsons event running through November 30, players are already speculating which Springfield characters might appear next. Could we see Homer, Marge, or Bart hit the island before the month’s end?

Stay tuned — this update could be just the start of Fortnite’s wildest crossover season yet.
