Hailey Bieber Opens Up About Motherhood and Surprising Calm as a First-Time Mom

Hailey Bieber is embracing motherhood with more ease than she ever imagined. The model and entrepreneur recently reflected on her parenting journey, 18 months after welcoming her first child, Jack Blues, with husband Justin Bieber in August 2024. Speaking on the Therapuss podcast with host Jake Shane, Hailey admitted that becoming a mother has been both joyful and unexpectedly relaxing.

A Calm Approach to Parenting

Hailey, 29, revealed that she thought she would be more anxious as a first-time mom. Instead, she has found herself surprisingly laid-back.

“I feel like I’m a lot more relaxed as a mom than I thought I would be,” she shared. “It’s a whole bunch of you just don’t know what’s going to happen until you get there.”

She described motherhood as “so much fun,” adding that the experience has lived up to everything she hoped for.

Family Plans Ahead

While Hailey is savoring her time with Jack, she also confirmed she wants to expand her family. “I definitely do want one more,” she said. “I’m not in a rush, but I definitely want one more. Maybe I’ll have four more. Maybe I’ll have three… I don’t know. I’m just taking it one day at a time.”

Jack’s Growing Vocabulary

Hailey also shared sweet details about her son’s development. Jack, now 17 months old, has started speaking more words, with “basketball” being his favorite. “He says basketball all the time,” she laughed. “I went to get him up from his nap today, and he was like ‘basketball.’ It’s insane. So funny.”

Jack has also learned to say “please,” a milestone Hailey finds especially endearing. Before mastering the word, he used American Sign Language to communicate it.

A Joyful Chapter

For Hailey, motherhood has been a journey of discovery, patience, and delight. Her reflections highlight not only the challenges of parenting but also the unexpected calm and joy that come with raising a child. As she looks ahead, Hailey seems open to whatever her family’s future may hold.
