Hilary Duff has officially teased her first world tour in nearly two decades, thrilling fans during her Los Angeles concert at The Wiltern. The pop star, who recently returned to music after a long hiatus, revealed the news in a playful and unexpected way.
Duff announced her return to music last year after signing with Atlantic Records. Her upcoming album, luck… or something, is set to release on February 20. So far, she has dropped two singles, “Mature” and “Roommates,” both of which have been praised by fans for showcasing her growth as an artist. To build momentum, Duff embarked on a four-city mini tour in January, performing in London, Toronto, Brooklyn, and Los Angeles. The intimate shows gave fans a chance to reconnect with her music and relive the nostalgia of her early 2000s hits.
During her Los Angeles finale, Duff performed a setlist that included fan favorites like “Why Not,” “Come Clean,” and “What Dreams Are Made Of.” Midway through the show, she invited three fans on stage to dance alongside her. After the performance, she handed each of them a black T-shirt with instructions not to turn around until her signal. When the fans finally faced the audience, the shirts spelled out three words: “World Tour Loading…” The crowd erupted in cheers, realizing that Duff was preparing to take her comeback global.
Duff’s announcement marks a major milestone in her career. She has charted seven songs on the Billboard Hot 100, and all five of her previous albums debuted within the Billboard 200’s top five. Her albums Metamorphosis (2003) and Most Wanted (2005) both reached No. 1, cementing her status as one of the defining pop stars of her generation.
Speaking to the audience after the reveal, Duff expressed gratitude for her fans’ support. “It’s a trip,” she said. “I can’t believe I’m here 18 years later.” Her words underscored the significance of her return, highlighting both her longevity in the industry and her renewed passion for music.
While Duff has not yet shared specific tour dates or locations, the announcement signals that she is ready to reconnect with fans worldwide. With her new album set to drop in February and a world tour on the horizon, 2026 is shaping up to be a defining year in her career.
