Indy Clinton Breaks Silence After Being Told She ‘Looked Cracked Out’ at TikTok Awards

Influencer Indy Clinton is speaking out after facing harsh criticism regarding her appearance and behavior on the red carpet at the 2025 TikTok Awards in Sydney, Australia. The 28-year-old content creator attended the event on November 26, but shortly afterward, a video of her arrival circulated online, prompting negative comments about her demeanor.

One TikTok user accused Clinton of appearing unstable at the event, writing, “U literally looked cracked out on the carpet at tt awards girl!” In response, the influencer posted a video on November 27, explaining the situation and firmly rejecting the criticism.

“I don’t usually address things like this,” Clinton said in the video shared to her 2 million followers. “But I wanted to stand up for myself. I hate when people spread untrue things about me.”

Clinton Describes Exhaustion and Chaotic Red Carpet Atmosphere

Clinton explained that she had been working nonstop for two weeks prior to the awards show.
“I had been working every day and every night for the last two weeks, so I’m extremely tired. Overwhelmed tired. Burnt out,” she said.

She added that she arrived very late, just minutes before the red carpet was scheduled to close. Staff rushed her through the photo area, and she described the environment as chaotic.

“You can hear the photographers fighting with each other in the video,” she said. “They start fighting in front of me — that’s why I go, ‘I feel so wanted.’ Because it was so awkward.”

Clinton said the chaos left her unsure where to look, leading to what some viewers interpreted as frantic behavior.
“That’s why I look so frantic. I had no idea who to look at and where,” she noted.

Uncomfortable Interview Moment Added to Stress

Clinton also recalled an uncomfortable exchange with a reporter who asked her, “What’s your Wabi-Sabi?” — a trending TikTok concept celebrating imperfections. Unfamiliar with the phrase, she became self-conscious when the interviewer referenced past criticism she received about her nose following a cosmetic procedure.

“I just spent all afternoon getting ready. I feel good. I didn’t want to talk about it,” she said. Clinton eventually answered by referencing her off-center middle hair part, but was stunned when the interviewer replied, “I thought you were gonna say your nose.”

“That really threw me off,” she admitted. “Then I was like, ‘I don’t want to be here.’”

Past Controversy Over Nose Surgery

Earlier this year, Clinton faced backlash after undergoing a nose job to fix an injury caused by a surfboard accident in 2020. She previously said she wanted only minor tweaks, but expressed disappointment with the results in a July TikTok update.
“I loved my natural Mediterranean nose,” she said, explaining that she did not intend to dramatically change her appearance.

Still, she has maintained a positive outlook.
“Onwards and upwards, as they say,” she concluded.
