On November 10, 2025, Yasmim celebrated her 26th birthday with friends in Petrolina, Brazil, where they reportedly consumed about a liter and a half of whisky.
Two of her friends and her boyfriend also fell ill. While they remain hospitalized, Yasmim’s condition worsened rapidly on November 12, and she tragically died at home.
Local hospital University Hospital of Univasf confirmed they received a patient with suspected methanol poisoning.
Methanol, a highly toxic form of alcohol found in industrial products, can cause severe health issues or death even in small amounts. The remaining whisky bottle has been sent for analysis to determine if it contained methanol.
Yasmim was known for her vibrant personality and lifestyle content, often sharing comedic posts with her boyfriend.
She had built a following of more than 23,000 Instagram fans, who adored her heartfelt humor and viral updates. Her last post, shared on November 5, showed a playful exchange with her partner.

Yasmim will be buried on November 13 at a cemetery near her home, according to local reports.
