On February 2, 2026, Kelly Clarkson revealed via Instagram that The Kelly Clarkson Show will end after its current season. The Emmy-winning host explained that stepping away from the daily grind will allow her to focus on her children, River Rose (11) and Remy (9).
“This was not an easy decision,” Clarkson wrote. “But this season will be my last hosting The Kelly Clarkson Show. Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives.”
Clarkson’s announcement comes months after the death of her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, who passed away in August 2025 following a three-year battle with cancer. The loss has reshaped Clarkson’s priorities, with family taking center stage.
NBCUniversal confirmed the show’s conclusion to staff and crew the same day Clarkson made her public statement. Season 7 will continue production as planned, with Clarkson hosting and occasional guest hosts filling in. Episodes will air through fall 2026.
Since its debut in 2019, The Kelly Clarkson Show has become a staple of daytime television. The series earned 24 Daytime Emmy Awards, including four consecutive wins for Outstanding Daytime Talk Series and four for Outstanding Talk Show Host.
Executive producer Alex Duda served as showrunner across all seven seasons, helping shape the program’s blend of celebrity interviews, musical performances, and heartfelt audience moments.
NBCUniversal executives praised Clarkson’s impact. Tracie Wilson, EVP of Syndication Studios, said: “Her warmth, quick sense of humor and connection with people created a show that made fans feel seen, heard and a little bit better about their day.”
While the talk show is ending, Clarkson assured fans she is not leaving the spotlight entirely. She plans to continue making music, performing live shows, and hinted at possible appearances on The Voice. “This isn’t goodbye,” she added. “You never know where I might show up next.”
As The Kelly Clarkson Show prepares to take its final bow, NBCUniversal and Clarkson’s team are expected to explore new creative opportunities. For viewers, the final season offers a chance to celebrate the show’s legacy while anticipating Clarkson’s next move in music and television.
