La Voix made a dramatic and emotional exit from Strictly Come Dancing during Blackpool Week, leaving fans speechless.
The 45-year-old drag queen, whose real name is Christopher Dennis, was forced to withdraw due to injury, missing the chance to perform at the iconic Tower Ballroom.
La Voix sat down with hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman alongside her professional partner Aljaž Škorjanec.
“This has been the most extraordinary experience of my entire life,” La Voix said. “I’m going to leave this experience braver, happier, and such a more confident person.”
Škorjanec added: “I feel like I made two friends for life — La Voix on stage and Chris in rehearsals.”
Because of La Voix’s exit, the dance off was cancelled.
Her departure follows earlier withdrawals from Kristian Nairn, Dani Dyer, and Stefan Dennis due to injuries. Judges’ scores and viewer votes from Blackpool Week will now roll over into next week.
Remaining contestants include Balvinder Sopal, George Clarke, Amber Davies, Lewis Cope, Alex Kingston, and Karen Carney. Cope topped the leaderboard with a perfect 40.
Viewers took to social media to share their confusion and heartbreak.
One wrote: “Did I miss it? Why didn’t Tess or Claudia ask why La Voix couldn’t continue?” Another added: “Lovely send-off for La Voix — such a shame she had to go out on an injury.”
Others praised her farewell performance, calling her a “superstar” who will always be remembered on the dance floor.
La Voix’s exit wasn’t just about leaving the competition.
It was about resilience, representation, and the emotional journey of a performer who brought joy to millions. Her farewell reminded fans why Strictly Come Dancing remains one of the most heartfelt shows on television.
With her dramatic Blackpool exit, La Voix proved that even in goodbye, she could leave fans speechless — a true superstar of the Strictly stage.
