The episode continues the show’s tradition of high-profile guest voices for Maggie.
The Simpsons is giving fans an unusual twist this holiday season by finally letting Maggie Simpson speak — with help from Lindsay Lohan. The actor lends her voice to the normally silent baby in an upcoming episode that jumps forward in time, offering a glimpse of the Simpson family’s future.
Titled “Parahormonal Activity,” the episode is scheduled to air on December 14 and leans into the show’s long-running tradition of playful experimentation.
The episode imagines Bart, Lisa, and Maggie as teenagers, shifting the familiar family dynamic at 742 Evergreen Terrace. Marge, voiced by Julie Kavner, struggles to manage the challenges of raising older kids, while Bart — still voiced by Nancy Cartwright — embraces full rebellion, complete with a leather jacket and defiant attitude.
Lisa, portrayed by Yeardley Smith, appears briefly but unmistakably, delivering knowing side-eye that hints at her own teenage frustrations.
Maggie’s future self takes center stage thanks to Lohan’s guest performance. In the flash-forward, Maggie voices her anxiety about Bart’s driving habits, pleading, “Please, don’t let Bart drive! It’s too scary! He drives so wiggly, and everybody honks at us and yells back words and shows us fingers!”
The moment offers both humor and novelty, marking one of the rare times Maggie has spoken in the show’s 35-season history.
Lohan joins a short but notable list of celebrities who have voiced Maggie over the years, including Carol Kane and James Earl Jones. The casting reinforces The Simpsons’ enduring appeal and its ability to refresh familiar characters without losing their essence.
Homer, voiced by Dan Castellaneta, is described in the episode as “the last sane person in the house,” a claim that invites skepticism in a household fueled by teenage turmoil.
As The Simpsons continues to explore imaginative storytelling through flash-forwards and guest appearances, “Parahormonal Activity” adds another memorable chapter to the show’s evolving legacy. Fans can tune in on Fox at 8:30 p.m. ET / 7:30 p.m. CT to see how the Simpson family navigates its chaotic future — with Maggie finally having her say.
