Little Mix, one of the most successful girl groups of the 2010s, officially went on hiatus in 2022 after more than a decade together. Formed on The X Factor in 2011, Jade Thirlwall, Jesy Nelson, Perrie Edwards, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock became the first group to win the U.K. competition, delivering hits like Wings and Black Magic. Now, four years later, each member has carved out her own path while still honoring the legacy of the band.
After the hiatus, Thirlwall launched her solo career under the stage name JADE, releasing her debut album THAT’S SHOWBIZ BABY. Her single Angel of My Dreams earned her a BRIT Award for Best Pop Act in 2025. She admitted to Harper’s Bazaar UK that adjusting to life after Little Mix was difficult, as she didn’t have the family commitments her bandmates did. Still, she continues to thrive musically while acknowledging the group’s impact on her life.
Nelson left the group in 2020 to prioritize her mental health, later releasing three solo singles. In 2025, she welcomed twin daughters, Ocean Jade and Story Monroe, with then-boyfriend Zion Foster. The twins were diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) Type 1, a serious neuromuscular disorder. Nelson has spoken openly about their journey, saying she believes her daughters will “defy all the odds.” She also released her docuseries Life After Little Mix on Prime Video in February 2026.
Edwards has balanced music and fashion since the hiatus. Her solo album Perrie dropped in September 2025, while her fashion label Disora gained recognition for offering inclusive sizing. On the personal front, she welcomed her second child, Alanis, in January 2026 with partner Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. The couple also share a son, Axel, born in 2021.
Pinnock pursued both music and acting. Her debut solo album My Ego Told Me To was released in February 2026, and she previously starred in the 2021 film Boxing Day. She also published her memoir Believe in 2023. Pinnock married soccer player Andre Gray in 2023, and the couple are parents to twins born in 2021. She has emphasized that her solo career allows her to show sides of herself that weren’t always visible in the group.
Though Little Mix’s members are now focused on solo projects and family life, Jesy Nelson recently told The Sun: “Never say never” when asked about a reunion. For now, fans can celebrate their individual successes while holding onto the possibility that the beloved girl group may one day return to the stage together.
