Maggie Lindemann pushed herself to the limit for the cover of her new album I Feel Everything. The singer revealed that she lay on an actual bed of nails during the photoshoot—an experience that left her body covered in bruises. Despite the physical toll, Lindemann says the imagery was essential to capturing the album’s emotional intensity.
In a recent interview, she described the shoot as “physically demanding,” but ultimately aligned with the raw, unfiltered themes of the project.
Lindemann began writing I Feel Everything in March 2024, the same month she released her Headsplit EP. The album’s title reflects the overwhelming mix of emotions she experienced during that period.
As an independent artist, Lindemann emphasized that complete creative freedom allowed her to take risks—like the nail‑bed cover—that might not have been possible under a major label. She continues to evolve her sound, leaning further into electronic and pop influences on the lead single “One of the Ones.”
The early writing phase of the album coincided with her relationship with NBA player Jordan Clarkson. By the time the record neared completion, the relationship had ended—an event Lindemann says deeply affected both the album’s content and its release timeline.
“Obviously, I had some stuff to say,” she explained, noting that listeners will hear a clear shift between songs written before and after the breakup. She described the end of the relationship as a moment of emotional release, one that helped shape the album’s narrative arc.
Lindemann told her family she was experiencing everything from emotional highs to deep confusion while making the album. That vulnerability became the foundation of the project, which captures the full spectrum of her feelings during a turbulent year.
Her decision to endure the pain of the nail‑bed photoshoot underscores the album’s commitment to authenticity—both visually and sonically.
With I Feel Everything now out in the world, Lindemann is expected to continue promoting the album through performances, visuals, and fan engagement. As her sound evolves and her independence fuels bold creative choices, the project marks a defining moment in her artistic trajectory.
