Marvel Rivals Update Adds 18v18 Mode and 2,500 Free Units for Anniversary

Marvel Rivals is celebrating its first anniversary, and developer NetEase has rolled out a major update packed with free rewards, new modes and limited-time content. The Version 20251127 patch went live on November 27, 2025, at 9 AM UTC, and players can jump in immediately — no server downtime required.

The update marks the start of the Anniversary Celebration and brings a massive 18v18 Annihilation mode, a returning Season 1 Battle Pass, and several in-game events offering up to 2,500 free Units. Here’s a full breakdown of what’s new.

Marvel Rivals Anniversary Celebration – Rivals’ Day 2025

The first phase of the anniversary event launched today at 09:00 UTC, bringing four major activities packed with rewards.

Event 1 – Log In Rewards

Players who log in during the event can claim 1,500 Limited-Time Units — available simply by signing in daily.

Event 2 – Rivals Assemble

Invite friends — new or returning — to earn up to 600 Units and the exclusive Bright Future emote. No match participation required.

Event 3 – Times Square Countdown

Event 4 – Jeff’s Break Time

Participate in matches to unlock Jeff the Land Shark – Business Shark costume and interchangeable cosmetic pieces. Additional premium rewards include:

Phase Two of the event arrives December 4, granting another 200 Units for sharing the Rivals Rewind report.

New Mode: 18v18 Annihilation

The update introduces an intense 18v18 Domination-style mode, set on the new Grand Garden map. Players will battle across a massive open-space arena designed for chaotic combat, teamwork and large-scale ability play.
