Parkway Drive Cancels 2026 Australian Park Waves Festival Tour

Key Points

  • Parkway Drive’s Park Waves Festival Australian tour has been cancelled.
  • The tour was scheduled for February–March 2026, beginning in Perth.
  • Organisers Destroy All Lines cited financial and logistical challenges.
  • Fans will receive full refunds, including booking fees.
  • The cancellation follows Parkway Drive’s landmark Sydney Opera House performance and new single “Sacred.”

Festival Cancellation Announced

Parkway Drive’s highly anticipated Park Waves Festival Australian tour has been officially cancelled. The tour, set to run from February 14 through March 15, 2026, was expected to bring the band to cities across the country, including Adelaide, Geelong, Sydney, Byron Bay, and Sandstone Point.

Organisers Destroy All Lines confirmed the news via social media, expressing regret over the decision. “We’re devastated to confirm the Park Waves Festival Australian tour will not go ahead. The cancellation is due to a combination of challenges, and ultimately, the numbers no longer stack up,” the statement read. Fans were assured that all ticket purchases, including booking fees, will be refunded, with further details sent directly to ticket holders.

Festival Background

The Park Waves Festival debuted in Germany last year, featuring Parkway Drive alongside Fit For a King and Australian deathcore veterans Thy Art Is Murder. The Australian edition was designed to bring the experience to Parkway Drive’s home audience, with a focus on regional accessibility.

Frontman Winston McCall previously told Rolling Stone AU/NZ that the band wanted to ensure fans outside major cities could connect with their music. “Being able to take it regional is really important,” McCall said, noting it had been 12 years since Parkway Drive last performed in Byron Bay.

Parkway Drive’s Recent Highlights

The cancellation comes after a career-defining moment for the band earlier this year: a performance at the Sydney Opera House that cemented Parkway Drive’s reputation as one of Australia’s premier live acts.

The band also released a new single, “Sacred,” their first new music since the 2022 album Darker Still.

What Happens Next

While the cancellation is a disappointment for fans, Parkway Drive remains committed to delivering live experiences in the future. With new music already released and their global reputation continuing to grow, anticipation now shifts to what the band will announce next—whether future tours, festival appearances, or another major performance milestone.
