Quentin Tarantino Revives Lost Kill Bill Chapter in Fortnite

Quentin Tarantino is reviving a long-lost piece of his cinematic universe in an unexpected way. The acclaimed director has partnered with Fortnite to release a new animated short titled The Lost Chapter: Yuki’s Revenge. The project premieres inside the game on November 30, giving millions of players worldwide a chance to experience a story that never made it to screen.

From Script to Screen After Two Decades

The short film is based on a sequence cut from the original Kill Bill script. Tarantino revealed the project during a special event at his Vista Theater in Los Angeles, confirming that Uma Thurman has reprised her role as The Bride.

The story follows Yuki, the twin sister of fan-favorite villain Gogo Yubari, who seeks revenge for her sister’s death. Tarantino explained that the concept originated during a meeting with Fortnite developers. They requested an eight-to-twelve-minute piece, and he immediately thought of the unproduced sequence.

Back in the early 2000s, Tarantino believed the idea was too action-packed to film. Now, thanks to Epic Games’ Unreal Engine, the director has been able to bring the vision to life in animated form.

A New Audience for a Cult Classic

This collaboration introduces Kill Bill to Fortnite’s massive global player base. Tarantino expressed excitement about the crossover, noting that it bridges his fanbase with the gaming community. He described the project as a powerful way to launch Fortnite’s new season.

The short will also be accompanied by a theatrical re-release of Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair. This version combines both volumes into one continuous cut, as Tarantino originally intended. Screenings are planned in the US, Canada, and UK, offering longtime fans a chance to revisit the saga on the big screen.

Cinema Meets Gaming

The partnership underscores a growing trend of blending cinema with interactive entertainment. Fortnite has previously hosted concerts, film screenings, and crossover events with major franchises. Tarantino’s involvement marks one of the most high-profile collaborations yet, bringing prestige filmmaking into the gaming space.

For fans, the release of Yuki’s Revenge is more than just a bonus chapter—it’s a chance to see Tarantino’s vision realized after two decades. For Fortnite, it’s another example of how the platform continues to evolve beyond gaming into a hub for cultural experiences.

Conclusion

The Lost Chapter: Yuki’s Revenge finally gives audiences a look at a story that was once left on the cutting-room floor. By merging Tarantino’s cinematic world with Fortnite’s interactive universe, the project demonstrates how iconic stories can find new life in digital spaces.

With Uma Thurman returning as The Bride and Tarantino himself guiding the project, this collaboration is set to be one of the most talked-about events of the year—both in film and gaming.
