A rare, hand-crafted necklace created to symbolize the beauty and luxury of the soon-to-open Lake Como EDITION hotel is going up for auction, offering not only a stunning collectible piece but also an exclusive luxury travel experience. Designed by DYNE jewelry creator Sarah Ysabel Narici, the one-of-a-kind piece will be auctioned through Sotheby’s Fine Jewelry sale, with bidding open through December 11.
The necklace, titled “Verdant Reverie: The Gem of the Alps at The Lake Como EDITION,” features a fluid design inspired by the lake’s iconic shoreline. Crafted with a sinewy 18-karat yellow gold chain and set with luminous mottled jade, it is finished with a round diamond clasp. Narici says the jade stone reflects a “verdant hue that recalls Como’s waters,” while the necklace’s curved silhouette mimics the lake’s gentle waves and winding shoreline.
The piece celebrates the March opening of the newest addition to the world-renowned EDITION Hotels portfolio. EDITION describes the necklace as a symbol of luxury, art, and travel coming together in one extraordinary creation.
The winning bidder will receive more than jewelry. The full luxury package includes:
Two-night stay in a penthouse suite at The Lake Como EDITION
Private boat tour of Lake Como
Custom detox treatment at the hotel’s Longevity Spa
Dinner with three-Michelin-star chef Mauro Colagreco at his new onsite restaurant, Cetino
Penthouse suites at the property feature Calacatta Turquoise and Calacatta Gold marble, French balconies overlooking the lake, and views of the historic Bellagio Hills.
Sotheby’s estimates the package will fetch $15,000 to $25,000, describing it as the perfect intersection of world-class craft and immersive luxury.
The auction also highlights EDITION’s continued expansion into collectable art collaborations. The partnership includes DYNE, whose pieces — including Narici’s work — were recently worn by Rihanna at the 2025 CFDA Awards.
EDITION Hotels says the collaboration reflects a shared mission to “blur the boundaries between luxury travel and collectible art.”
George Fleck, EDITION’s Senior Vice President and Global Brand Leader, said the project “celebrates traditional craftsmanship with globally influenced creativity,” adding that the necklace is “a striking new addition meant for world-class acclaim.”
The property is currently in preview and will officially open in March 2026. It joins EDITION destinations worldwide, including The Tokyo EDITION, Toranomon, recently named to the World’s 50 Best Hotels list.
As anticipation grows, luxury collectors and travel enthusiasts alike are watching closely—because for one winning bidder, the necklace will be more than jewelry. It will be a ticket to an unforgettable Italian escape.
