Ray J is escalating his ongoing legal fight with Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner by bringing in a key witness. The rapper’s attorney confirmed that former Vivid Entertainment executive Steve Hirsch will testify about the release of the infamous 2007 sex tape.
Ray J has long claimed that Kim and Kris were involved in the tape’s release, while he was left to shoulder the blame. His lawyer, Howard King, says Hirsch’s testimony could clarify who truly authorized the deal and potentially expose contradictions in Kim’s past statements.
Ray J alleges that Kim lied under oath during recent testimony. He insists that Kris Jenner was actively involved, even directing them to make one tape “dirtier” for distribution. According to Ray J, he and Kim were paid $400,000 for each of three tapes. Vivid Entertainment, however, has maintained that it purchased the tape from a third party for $1 million.
Ray J’s mother, Sonja Norwood, publicly defended her son, criticizing Kris Jenner’s denials. She vowed to continue fighting until the truth is revealed, saying she has witnessed the situation unfold for years.
Kim and Kris have both denied Ray J’s claims. Kim called the allegations “complete lies,” while Kris described the notion that she orchestrated sex tapes involving her daughter as “deeply offensive and harmful.”
Ray J says his goal is to clear his name for the sake of his children. He wants to ensure they don’t grow up believing false narratives about him.
Beyond the courtroom, Ray J has also made news for a controversial Valentine’s Day performance where fake blood poured from his eyes. He later admitted the stunt was staged, underscoring his flair for dramatic attention.
