গুজবে কান দেবেন না। আগে সত্যিটি জানুন তারপর সিদ্ধান্ত নিন। এলআইসি ভারতের সবচেয়ে বৃহৎ জীবনবীমা কোম্পানি। একটি সাংবাদিক বৈঠকে কংগ্ৰেসের একজন বড়মাপের নেতা অভিযোগ তুলেন যে, এলআইসি বা ভারতীয় জীবনবীমা নিগমের টাকা নিয়ে নয়ছয় করছে মোদী সরকার। আর তার এহেন বক্তব্যের পরেই শোরগোল পড়ে যায় গোটাদেশ জুড়ে। সকলের মুখে একটাই প্রশ্ন, ‘তাহলে কি বন্ধ হয়ে যাচ্ছে এলআইসি?’
সারাদেশে ব্যাপক উত্তেজনা সৃষ্টির পর এলআইসির তরফ থেকে একটি বিবৃতি দেওয়া হয়। যেখানে বলা হয় “দুশ্চিন্তার কোনো কারন নেই। ভারতীয় জীবনবীমা নিগম এদেশের নিরাপদতম অর্থনৈতিক প্রতিষ্ঠান।”
