Former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss has announced her separation from husband Todd Tucker after more than a decade of marriage. The reality TV personality and R&B singer confirmed the news on November 21, 2025, asking for privacy as she navigates this transition with her family.
In a statement to PEOPLE, Burruss said: “After deep thought and a lot of prayer, I’ve made the decision to move forward with a divorce. This is a difficult and emotional time, but my focus remains on protecting my peace, being the best mother I can be, and co-parenting with love and respect.”
She added that she is stepping into a new chapter, focusing on her work, family, and personal growth. Burruss expressed gratitude to fans and supporters, requesting “privacy, grace, and understanding” during this period.
Burruss and Tucker first met in 2011 while filming RHOA Season 4. Their romance quickly blossomed, leading to an engagement in 2013 and a wedding in 2014. The couple’s relationship was frequently documented on the Bravo reality series, where Tucker also worked as a production manager.
The pair exited RHOA in 2023 during its 15th season, closing a chapter that had made them household names among fans of the franchise.
Together, Burruss and Tucker share two children. Beyond their reality TV fame, the couple collaborated on several creative projects. Tucker served as executive producer for shows like Kandi & the Gang and other Bravo productions. They also ventured into Broadway, contributing to productions such as The Wiz and Othello.
In addition to entertainment, the couple co-owned restaurants, including the Old Lady Gang chain and Blaze Steak & Seafood. Both establishments have since closed permanently due to various challenges.
The divorce marks the end of one of RHOA’s most recognizable marriages. Burruss, who has balanced careers in music, television, and business, emphasized her commitment to co-parenting and personal growth as she moves forward.
