Adidas Originals has unveiled a bold new campaign for its iconic Superstar sneakers, with Hollywood legend Samuel L. Jackson front and center. The cinematic ad, released Thursday, features Jackson embarking on a stylish odyssey through the “Hotel Superstar,” where he encounters a lineup of global stars across music, fashion, and sport.
Joining Jackson in the campaign are pop superstar Jennie, supermodel Kendall Jenner, Spanish soccer prodigy Lamine Yamal, rapper and producer Baby Keem, NBA star James Harden, skater Tyshawn Jones, and Grammy-winning artist Olivia Dean. Each celebrity showcases the timeless sneaker in their own unique style, reinforcing the shoe’s cultural relevance across generations.
Directed by Thibaut Grevet, known for his work with Tate McRae and A$AP Rocky, the campaign blends fashion and storytelling. Jackson’s barefoot search for the perfect pair of Superstars unfolds like a short film, with unexpected twists and striking visuals. Adidas Originals VP of Marketing Annie Barrett explained, “Superstars never go away, they are timeless and iconic. This season, we continue to show the relevance of this sneaker across music, fashion, sport and art.”
The campaign highlights both the classic black-and-white sneakers and new design updates. The men’s collection introduces looser fits, bold red-and-black color blocking, and denim shorts paired with Superstars. The women’s line features a Superstar track top and a red equipment-blocking jacket, alongside neutral-toned tees and jacquard jerseys.
Launching this spring, the campaign will be supported by global content, immersive brand activations, and in-person experiences. Adidas aims to reinforce the Superstar’s place as a cultural staple, bridging generations from streetwear enthusiasts to high-fashion icons. With Samuel L. Jackson leading the charge, Adidas has crafted a campaign that blends cinematic flair with timeless style, ensuring the Superstar remains a symbol of creativity and influence.
