Silvana Armani, niece of the late Giorgio Armani, closed Milan Fashion Week with her debut signature collection, marking a new era for the iconic fashion house.
This was the first Giorgio Armani women’s collection presented without input from the founding designer, who passed away in September 2025 at age 91. Silvana stepped into the spotlight with quiet confidence, continuing her uncle’s legacy while adding her own vision.
Actor Andie MacDowell, 67, attended the show in a dark Armani suit adorned with a three-dimensional rose detail. She praised the brand for representing women of all ages, saying, “We still are fashionable and powerful and strong, and we enjoy life and looking beautiful.”
The Fall/Winter 2026–2027 women’s line was described as fluid, essential, and contemporary. Jewelry was absent, save for zodiac pins honoring Giorgio Armani’s Cancer birth sign.
Opening looks featured slate gray tones softened by silk blouses with foulard neck detailing. Burgundy belts added structure, while long overcoats and knitwear maintained discipline.
Silvana leaned into her uncle’s signature tailoring with quilted Japanese-style jackets, colorful shearling coats, and fluid trousers. Winter whites paired with high-neck blouses and anoraks suggested an active lifestyle, complemented by cozy knitwear, cross-body bags, and tinted eyewear.
The palette shifted to burgundy and midnight blue, accented by velvet pieces with beaded embroidery. Eveningwear included iridescent corsets worn slightly away from the body, paired with satchels to emphasize practicality.
Silvana explained, “Working with fluidity and simplicity came naturally to me, because that’s how I am.” She took her bow in a navy sweater and trousers, echoing her uncle’s understated style.
She also collaborated with Leo Dell’Orco on a crisp Emporio Armani co-ed collection earlier in the week. Inspired by a music conservatory, the show blended British formality with Italian sensibility, featuring tailcoats, waistcoats, denim, and a finale of starched white shirts with black ties.
Olympic medalists from Team Italia sat front row, dressed in EA7 Emporio Armani athleticwear from the recent Winter Games. The finale drew warm applause, signaling approval for Silvana’s confident step into leadership. With this collection, Silvana Armani honored her family’s fashion dynasty while proving she is ready to carry the brand forward.
