Actress Sydney Sweeney is officially turning her passion for cars into a full-fledged business venture. The Euphoria and Anyone But You star has filed a trademark for her name with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, signaling plans to launch a brand of automotive tools, car care products, and apparel.
This move comes as the Emmy-nominated actress, known for restoring her own vintage cars, continues expanding her brand beyond acting and into the automotive and lifestyle industries.
According to Daily Mail reports, Sweeney filed the trademark under her name, covering a wide range of products including hand tools, spanners, socket sets, waxes, polishes, and even air fresheners.
The filing also extends to a clothing line featuring hoodies, caps, coveralls, and sweatshirts. Her proposed logo—two intertwined bolts forming a heart—reflects her signature mix of femininity and mechanical grit.
The project aims to merge Sweeney’s passion for restoration and design with consumer automotive culture, appealing to both car enthusiasts and her growing fan base.
Sweeney’s love for cars is well-documented. In 2021, she purchased a 1969 Ford Bronco and took on the challenge of restoring it herself after finding it in non-running condition.
“I come from a family of mechanics,” she previously told reporters. “I was the only girl in the shop. Restoring my dream car was something I wanted to do with my own hands.”
She chronicled the process on TikTok through her account @syds_garage, inspiring thousands of young women to take an interest in automotive projects.
During the pandemic, Sweeney’s restoration videos evolved into a digital community celebrating women in car culture. She later partnered with Ford Motor Company to design a workwear collection inspired by her vintage 1965 Mustang “Britney.”
Sweeney said, “I really wanted to empower and support women in the space because it’s a very male-dominated industry.”
Her collaboration with Ford also included a custom Mustang giveaway, with every detail personally chosen by Sweeney—right down to the paint and upholstery.
In a recent GQ interview, Sweeney also spoke about her American Eagle “Great Jeans” campaign, which drew controversy for its wordplay.
When asked about the criticism, she responded, “I did a jean ad. The reaction was a surprise, but I love jeans. I wear them every day.”
Her calm response highlighted her focus on continuing to grow her personal brand while navigating public scrutiny.
With her automotive trademark filing, Sweeney’s next steps will likely involve the launch of “Syd’s Garage” as an official consumer brand. Industry analysts predict the venture could include both digital tutorials and limited-edition merchandise, combining her Hollywood profile with hands-on automotive credibility.
If approved, her trademark will give her exclusive rights to use her name on all related car and apparel products in the U.S., marking a new phase in her expanding business portfolio.
