Netflix’s The Night Agent wrapped up Season 3 with a surprisingly optimistic ending for Peter Sutherland, played by Gabriel Basso. With many plot threads tied up, fans are wondering if the hit thriller will return for a fourth season — or if this marks the end of the road.
Unlike the darker conclusions of previous seasons, Season 3 closes on a hopeful note. Peter is free from Jacob Monroe’s blackmail, President Hagan has pardoned himself and his wife before leaving office, and Peter enjoys a quiet moment with his mother at the beach. For the first time, his future looks bright.
Speaking with CinemaBlend, Basso admitted he would be content if the series ended here. “Peter’s story from 1 to 3 has been told,” he said, adding that any continuation should feel “additive” rather than forced.
Still, Basso revealed one storyline he’d love to see explored if Season 4 happens: the return of Gordon Wick. Wick, the corrupt CEO from Season 1, was never brought to justice. “I also want him to kill Wick,” Basso said. “It’s like, dude, hunt that guy down.”
Fans also remain curious about Aiden Mosley’s tease of a new partner for Peter in Night Action. Could it be a familiar face, or someone entirely new? And will Rose Larkin, who sat out Season 3, reunite with Peter if the show continues?
If Netflix renews The Night Agent for Season 4, production is expected to move to Los Angeles. Deadline reported last November that the series secured a $31.6 million tax credit to relocate, hinting at plans for future episodes.
For now, Netflix has not confirmed whether The Night Agent will return. But with Basso’s enthusiasm for revisiting Wick and fans eager for more Night Action missions, the door remains open for Season 4.
