The Traitors UK Finale: Rachel Duffy & Stephen Libby Win in Dramatic Showdown

The fourth season of The Traitors UK ended with a thrilling finale that kept viewers on edge until the last vote. After weeks of deception, betrayal, and explosive confrontations, traitors Rachel Duffy and Stephen Libby emerged victorious, sharing a prize of £95,750.

Rachel Makes History

Rachel Duffy became the first female traitor to win the UK series. The 42-year-old head of communications from County Down, Northern Ireland, played a calm and calculated game, subtly steering suspicion away from herself. Despite fierce challenges from fellow contestants, including secret traitor Fiona Hughes and faithful Harriet Tyce, Rachel managed to outwit her rivals. Speaking after her win, Rachel said: “It’s the best feeling in the world. I really thought it was such a big achievement to be the first female traitor to make it to the final, and then to win.” She revealed plans to spend her share of the prize on creating lasting memories with her children and her mother, who has dementia.

Stephen’s Loyalty Pays Off

Stephen Libby, a 32-year-old cyber security consultant from Stornoway, Outer Hebrides, proved equally pivotal. His decision to stay loyal to Rachel in the final vote sealed their joint victory. Known for his expressive reactions and visible stress, Stephen nonetheless played a sharp game. He plans to use his winnings to support his parents, help his father pursue art, and invest in a home in London.

The Final Betrayal

The finale saw Stephen choose between eliminating Rachel or faithful Jack Butler, a personal trainer from Essex who had trusted him throughout the series. Stephen’s loyalty to Rachel led to Jack’s banishment, leaving the traitors to claim the prize. Jack admitted his frustration, saying: “That’s completely unexpected, what a curveball, I’ve been totally played.”

Twists and Turns

The season featured dramatic twists, including the introduction of a secret traitor, Fiona Hughes, whose betrayal of Rachel created explosive tension. Rachel ultimately outmaneuvered Fiona and other vocal opponents, proving her resilience. The finale also included a tense “chest of chance” moment, where Rachel narrowly avoided elimination thanks to a shield.

A Record-Breaking Series

With more than 12 million viewers tuning in, the fourth season of The Traitors UK has cemented its place as one of the most gripping reality shows on British television. Host Claudia Winkleman summed up the finale perfectly: “Two traitors, but totally faithful to each other.”
