Arrest Warrant Issued for ‘West Wing’ Actor Timothy Busfield in Child Sex Abuse Case

According to the arrest warrant, investigators allege the children met Busfield on the set of the Fox drama The Cleaning Lady, where Busfield worked as a director. The series aired for four seasons between 2022 and June 2025. An officer’s affidavit included in the warrant describes alleged conduct and patterns consistent with grooming behavior. The document claims Busfield used his professional role and access on busy film sets to establish trust with the family, while allegedly engaging in inappropriate conduct with one of the children. These statements reflect investigators’ allegations and have not been tested in court.

Busfield is best known for his role as White House correspondent Danny Concannon on the acclaimed NBC series The West Wing. He also gained recognition for playing Elliot Weston on thirtysomething and appeared in films such as Revenge of the Nerds (1984) and Field of Dreams (1989). Over the years, Busfield worked extensively in television, appearing in series including Without a Trace, Entourage, Designated Survivor, The Loudest Voice, Almost Family, and For Life. He also built a career behind the camera as a director and producer.
