Professional Cowboy Adan Banuelos Charged with Public Intoxication After Bella Hadid Split

Professional cowboy Adan Banuelos is facing legal troubles just days after ending his relationship with supermodel Bella Hadid.

Arrest in Texas

Banuelos, 36, was arrested on January 31 in Parker County, Texas, on a charge of public intoxication. According to booking records from the Parker County Sheriff’s Office, he was released later that same day after posting a $386 bond. Authorities have not confirmed whether Banuelos has legal representation, and representatives for the equestrian have not responded to requests for comment.

A Decorated Career

Banuelos is widely recognized in the equestrian world. He is the son of Ascencion Banuelos, the first Mexican-American inducted into the National Cutting Horse Association Hall of Fame. Following in his father’s footsteps, Adan has built a reputation as one of the youngest cowboys ever honored by the Hall of Fame. His achievements in horse riding have earned him respect across the rodeo and equestrian communities.

Relationship with Bella Hadid

Banuelos’ arrest comes shortly after his breakup with Bella Hadid, 29. The pair began dating in October 2023 and were together for two years. During their relationship, Hadid often praised Banuelos’ dedication to his craft. In a May 2024 interview with British Vogue, she described him as “the youngest Mexican cowboy to ever be inducted into the Hall of Fame,” adding that he worked tirelessly for his family and customers.

The couple made public appearances together, including an event for Hadid’s fragrance brand, Orebella. Photos from the time showed them cozying up at the launch, highlighting their bond before the eventual split.

After the Breakup

Earlier this month, sources confirmed that Hadid and Banuelos had called it quits. Following the breakup, insiders told Entertainment Tonight that Hadid has been “doing her best to stay positive and distract herself.” She has reportedly been focusing on work and spending time with close friends as she processes the end of what was described as a “very serious relationship.”

What’s Next for Banuelos

While Banuelos’ arrest has drawn attention, his career remains decorated with accolades. His contributions to the equestrian world continue to be recognized, though the recent legal trouble adds a new layer of public scrutiny. As Hadid moves forward with her career and personal life, Banuelos faces the challenge of navigating both his professional reputation and the fallout from his arrest.
