Brad Bradley, brother of missing American traveler Amy Bradley, is speaking publicly with new details challenging the recent Netflix documentary on her 1998 disappearance. In exclusive interviews with major outlets including Reuters and Associated Press, Brad claims the documentary “left out crucial facts,” including Amy’s discomfort in deep water and false narratives about her personal life.
The FBI investigation remains active, with a substantial reward still offered for verified information. The Bradley family continues their decades-long search for answers nearly 27 years after the tragedy.
Amy Bradley vanished on March 24, 1998, while aboard the Royal Caribbean cruise ship Rhapsody of the Seas in the Caribbean Sea near Curaçao.
Her brother Brad Bradley has recently shared previously undisclosed family insights, refuting several speculative theories presented in the Netflix documentary. He says key facts were ignored, including Amy’s fear of open water and inaccuracies about her state of mind. The family believes the omission of these details may have distorted public understanding of the case.
Brad stated that Amy was uneasy in the ocean, contradicting claims she may have jumped overboard. Though a strong swimmer, she avoided deep water and was cautious around the ship’s railings.
He described their final hours together as calm and affectionate — returning to their shared balcony at 5:30 AM after socializing with friends and a ship musician. “We said ‘I love you’ before bed. That was the last time I saw her,” he recalled.
The Netflix documentary, according to Brad, also implied Amy struggled with her sexuality — a claim he calls false. “Amy came out years earlier. There was no family tension,” he said, emphasizing that she was happy, independent, and thriving in her new apartment.
The Bradley family and FBI archives later revealed serious flaws in the cruise line’s initial response. Several crew areas were never properly searched, contradicting early company statements.
Years later, a convicted fraudster posing as a Navy SEAL exploited the family by promising Amy’s rescue, ultimately facing federal charges for deception. “That period destroyed us emotionally,” Brad said.
Over the years, credible sightings have been reported, including a 2005 photograph suggesting Amy may have been seen alive. Experts remain divided, but human trafficking remains a strong theory under FBI review.
Despite the passage of time, the family maintains hope. “We believe Amy could still be alive,” Brad told reporters. “We won’t stop until we know the truth.”
The FBI continues to investigate new leads, and the Bradley family urges anyone with credible information to contact federal authorities.
Netflix has not publicly responded to Brad’s recent claims. Analysts say renewed media attention could pressure law enforcement to re-examine overlooked evidence.
