Crime Junkie Shocks Fans with Tubi Move — Inside Ashley Flowers’ New Multi-Year Deal

Top true crime podcast Crime Junkie is officially moving to Tubi under a multi-year exclusive agreement between the streaming platform and Audiochuck, the network founded by host Ashley Flowers.
The deal marks the end of Audiochuck’s partnership with SiriusXM and aims to expand the company’s footprint into video content.
Executives confirmed the agreement earlier this week, signaling a significant shift in podcast distribution strategy.
The move includes Crime Junkie and other Audiochuck titles such as The Deck and Dark Downeast.

The multi-year partnership between Audiochuck and Tubi, a Fox-owned streaming service, grants exclusive distribution and advertising rights across all of Audiochuck’s properties.
This includes flagship title Crime Junkie — consistently ranked among America’s top podcasts — along with The Deck and Dark Downeast.
A new Crime Junkie FAST channel will debut on Fox streaming platforms, bringing episodes and behind-the-scenes content to a wider audience.
According to company insiders, the deal was finalized in late October 2025 and is designed to help Audiochuck transition from pure audio storytelling into visual-first media formats.

Industry Reaction and Analyst Insights

Media analysts see the Tubi-Audiochuck deal as part of a broader trend within the podcast industry.
“Podcast networks are rapidly pivoting to video to capture new audiences and advertising opportunities,” said a Reuters media analyst.
The move follows a $40 million investment into Audiochuck earlier this year, signaling investor confidence in the company’s multi-platform strategy.
SiriusXM, which previously held exclusive distribution rights for Crime Junkie, loses a key property that once anchored its podcasting portfolio.

Industry Shake-Up

This deal represents a major shift in the true crime podcasting landscape.
Crime Junkie, ranked second only to The Joe Rogan Experience by Edison Research, has maintained a dominant position in the charts since 2024.
Its migration to Tubi is expected to bring millions of listeners — and now viewers — to Fox’s streaming platforms, reshaping competition across podcasting and streaming ecosystems.
For SiriusXM, the departure is a strategic setback as it continues to invest in other true crime franchises such as Morbid.

What’s Next for Crime Junkie and Audiochuck

A full rollout of Crime Junkie’s video channel on Tubi is expected in early 2026, featuring both classic episodes and new visual content.
Ashley Flowers is reportedly developing new hybrid podcast-video series as part of the partnership.
Audiochuck plans to expand its true crime slate with additional investigative projects under the Tubi brand umbrella.
