Jim Beaver Honors Late Supernatural Co-Star Carrie Anne Fleming

Actor Jim Beaver has penned an emotional tribute to his Supernatural co-star and real-life partner Carrie Anne Fleming, who died last month at age 51 following a battle with breast cancer. Beaver, 75, shared his reflections on Facebook, calling Fleming his “soul mate” and remembering their deep connection both on and off screen.

Love Born on Set

Beaver and Fleming first met while filming Supernatural’s fifth season, where she played Karen Singer, the wife of Beaver’s character Bobby Singer. “I fell for her hard, and I did it mere seconds after meeting her,” Beaver wrote. He recalled a serendipitous moment when they discovered both had daughters named Madeline Rose, which he described as the beginning of their bond.

A Connection Beyond Acting

Beaver described Fleming as “a powerhouse of vitality and goodwill” with an infectious laugh and endless kindness. Despite living in different countries — Fleming in Canada and Beaver in California — the two worked to spend as much time together as possible. “She got me like only one other person really, truly ever has,” he wrote, noting their relationship endured despite distance and challenges.

Remembering Past Loss

Beaver also reflected on the earlier loss of his first wife, Cecily, the mother of his daughter. He said finding love again with Fleming felt like a miracle. “To find a soul mate once in life is something of a miracle. To find one twice is almost unimaginable,” he shared.

Fleming’s Legacy

Beyond Supernatural, Fleming appeared in iZombie as Candy Baker and was remembered by her representatives as “a beautiful soul, inspiring, and above all, kind.” She passed away peacefully in Canada on February 26, surrounded by loved ones.

A Lasting Impact

Beaver’s tribute highlights the enduring love and respect he held for Fleming, both as a colleague and as his partner. Fans of Supernatural and beyond continue to honor her memory, celebrating the joy and warmth she brought to her roles and to those who knew her personally.
