Apple TV+ is set to premiere Pluribus, a new sci-fi series from Vince Gilligan, co-creator of Better Call Saul and the mind behind Breaking Bad. The series stars Rhea Seehorn as Carol, a woman seemingly immune to a virus that induces uncontrollable happiness in those it infects. The first two episodes officially release Friday, Nov. 7, but Apple TV+ often allows early streaming from 9 p.m. ET on Nov. 6. The series has already been renewed for a second season, signaling confidence in its potential. Despite Gilligan’s association with Breaking Bad, Pluribus is not part of that universe.
Pluribus centers on Carol, a woman who finds herself isolated when a mysterious virus affects everyone she knows, causing severe happiness in those infected. Apple TV+ also bundles with Peacock, providing ad-supported access for $15/month or ad-free streaming for $20/month.
