Timothée Chalamet is making sure his mom is premiere-ready. The 29-year-old actor shared a lighthearted and personal text exchange with his mother, Nicole Flender, on Instagram, revealing that she requested one of the now highly coveted “Marty Supreme” jackets tied to his upcoming film Marty Supreme, which debuts Christmas Day.
The Instagram post, shared Tuesday, Dec. 2, featured multiple photos highlighting excitement surrounding the film’s release—including sidewalk fan art and friends sporting limited-edition jackets. The standout moment came in the form of a screenshot showing his conversation with Flender.
“Can you please send me a Marty Supreme jacket?” his mother wrote. Chalamet replied, “Of course I will!” She then added that she hoped it would arrive quickly “so it’s timely” and she could wear it to the movie premiere.
The exchange quickly sparked warm reactions from fans, praising the actor’s close relationship with his mom and the ongoing buzz surrounding the film’s promotional gear.
The exclusive Marty Supreme jackets have already gained viral attention after being worn by several high-profile personalities. Former NFL star Tom Brady sported a black-and-blue zip-up version featuring three orange star accents in a joint Instagram post with Chalamet, the film’s official account, and clothing brand Nahmias on Nov. 19.
Earlier this year, Chalamet’s girlfriend Kylie Jenner also wore the same jacket during a date night at a Yankees game on Oct. 8—fueling both pop culture chatter and heightened demand for the merchandise.
The jacket appears to exist in multiple designs, including the black-and-white version featured in Chalamet’s latest post.
Marty Supreme is a fictionalized story inspired by real-life professional ping-pong champion Marty Reisman. The film follows Marty Mauser, a driven and misunderstood young athlete determined to pursue greatness, regardless of the obstacles or disbelief he faces.
According to A24’s official synopsis:
“Marty Mauser, a young man with a dream no one respects, goes to hell and back in pursuit of greatness.”
The movie is directed by Josh Safdie, known for intense character-driven films like Uncut Gems. Chalamet stars in the lead role, with Gwyneth Paltrow appearing as his movie-star love interest.
With growing anticipation, fashion frenzy, and strong fan engagement across social media, Marty Supreme is expected to be a major holiday release, blending sports drama, celebrity buzz, and cultural momentum.
Chalamet’s playful post demonstrated not only excitement for the project but also his close family ties—something fans regularly celebrate.
The caption suggested a sense of gratitude, pride, and joy as he counts down to the premiere.
As the film’s debut approaches, expect more high-profile appearances and likely more limited-edition merch sightings.
