Telangana earthquake today: Residents of Mancherial and Kumram Bheem Asifabad districts experienced mild tremors lasting two to three seconds early Wednesday morning.
An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale was recorded at 7:27 am, with its epicenter in Mulugu at a depth of 40 km. The quake was felt across several regions, including Warangal, Kothagudem, Bhadrachalam, and Khammam.
Locals in areas such as Luxettipet, Jaipur, Mancherial, Kasipet, Dandepalli, and Hajipur mandals reported feeling the tremors around 7 am. Many rushed out of their homes, fearing structural collapses. Some residents claimed the impact caused utensils to fall from shelves and cracks to appear in walls.
Mild tremors were also experienced in Bejjur, Koutala, Asifabad, and Wankidi areas at the same time, adding to the widespread alarm.
