Social media star Alix Earle is shutting down speculation about her personal life following her reported breakup with NFL wide receiver Braxton Berrios. Over the weekend, a viral screenshot appeared to show New York Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart sliding into her Instagram DMs—an image Earle insists is completely fake.
The screenshot, which circulated widely on TikTok and X, suggested Dart messaged, “her u single now?” shortly after news of the breakup surfaced. The image claimed to show Earle sharing the DM on her Close Friends Instagram Story with a caption reading, “it hasn’t even been 12 hours.”
But Earle quickly dismissed the speculation.

On December 7, the influencer shared a response on her Instagram Story addressing the viral image directly.
“What is this fake photoshopped dm u guys are posting,” she wrote.
“1. That never happened. 2. That wouldn’t be on my story.”
Her firm response prompted immediate reactions across social platforms, with many fans defending her privacy while others continued speculating about her relationship status.
Breakup With Braxton Berrios Sparks Online Buzz
The alleged DM leak surfaced just days after multiple outlets confirmed Earle and Berrios had ended their nearly three-year relationship. Breakup rumors intensified when fans noted Berrios never attended her live tapings during her run on Dancing With the Stars.
Earle shut down speculation in late November after a fan expressed concern about the status of their relationship, writing:
“He couldn’t come bc of football.”
Although he didn’t attend in person, Berrios sent a supportive video during the DWTS finale:
“I’ve watched you pour everything into this since the moment it has started… Good luck. Have fun, babe.”
Despite confirmation of the split, fans are searching for clues of a reconciliation. Earle’s latest TikTok—where she eating a burrito with no hands—appeared to be filmed in what viewers identified as Berrios’ Miami home.
