The announcement was shared on Friday, January 2, via Instagram in a joint post with the improv-under-hypnosis show Hyprov and Mochrie’s co-star, hypnotist Asad Mecci.

“We regret to inform you that our upcoming shows will be postponed due to a medical situation involving Colin Mochrie,” the statement read. “Colin has been diagnosed with a detached retina and will be undergoing emergency eye surgery today.”
The post added that Mochrie’s medical team is optimistic about his recovery, though doctors have advised him to take time off to rest and heal following the procedure. Tour organizers confirmed that affected performances will be rescheduled, with updated dates to be announced once Mochrie is cleared to return to the stage.
