HGTV’s Home Town star Erin Napier has given fans a glimpse into her family life, sharing rare photos of her daughters Helen (8) and Mae (4) along with a heartfelt update on Instagram.
A Month Off From Filming
Napier revealed that January was spent away from cameras, allowing her to embrace being a “stay-at-home teacher mom.” She described the month as busy but rewarding, filled with family milestones and creative pursuits.
Helen celebrated her eighth birthday, memorized a John Updike poem, completed a book report on The Wizard of Oz, began running track, and even drew illustrations inspired by weekly music lessons. Mae, meanwhile, enjoyed music classes, stick-on earrings, and drawing.

Creative Moments at Home
Erin herself picked up oil pastels, sharing some of her artwork in the carousel of photos. She also debuted a longer hairstyle, which fans quickly praised. Husband Ben Napier was featured throughout the update, building fires, reading library books, and teaching Mae in their home classroom.
The couple continues their tradition of protecting their daughters’ privacy by never showing their faces in public posts. Instead, the photos highlighted family activities, homework, and birthday celebrations — including Helen’s chocolate chip cookie cake.
Fans React
Followers flooded the comments with admiration for the family’s simple, grounded lifestyle. Many praised Erin and Ben for prioritizing family over fame, teaching Helen cursive, and creating an environment filled with creativity and love.
One fan wrote: “What a beautiful life you’ve created for your girls! It’s so good to see something hopeful, inspiring, and real on social media.” Another added: “Sweet life, I commend you and Ben for choosing FAMILY FIRST.”
Looking Ahead
Napier ended her post with a hopeful note, asking: “Is spring coming now? Maybe?” As Home Town continues its 10th season on HGTV, fans are reminded that behind the cameras, Erin and Ben remain dedicated parents raising their daughters in a nurturing, down-to-earth environment.
