HBO has confirmed that its critically acclaimed drama Industry, starring Kit Harington, will return for a fifth and final season. The announcement comes just days before the conclusion of Season 4, which wraps up on Sunday.
A Bold Ending for a Genre-Bending Drama
Created by Mickey Down and Konrad Kay, Industry has built a reputation for its sharp exploration of power, money, politics, and class. Francesca Orsi, HBO’s executive vice president of programming, praised the series for its ambitious storytelling.
“For four seasons, Industry has thrilled us while examining power, money, politics, and class,” Orsi said. “Under Mickey and Konrad’s ambitious and singular vision, it has solidified itself as an important contemporary, genre-bending drama in HBO’s lineup that keeps viewers on the edge of their seat week after week.”
A Stellar Ensemble Cast
The series features a wide-ranging cast including Myha’la, Marisa Abela, Ken Leung, Max Minghella, Miriam Petche, Sagar Radia, Toheeb Jimoh, Charlie Heaton, Amy James-Kelly, Roger Barclay, Andrew Havill, Kiernan Shipka, Kal Penn, Jack Farthing, Stephen Campbell Moore, Claire Forlani, and Edward Holcroft.
Orsi highlighted the performances in Season 4, calling them “career defining” and noting that the show’s creative team, including executive producers Jane Tranter and Kathleen McCaffrey, helped elevate the drama to new heights.
The Final Chapter
The fifth season will serve as the conclusion to Industry’s story, giving fans closure on the high-stakes world of international finance and the personal struggles of its characters. While details about the plot remain under wraps, HBO’s announcement signals that the series will go out on its own terms, with creators Down and Kay steering the narrative to its end.
Since its debut, Industry has been praised for its authenticity, intensity, and willingness to tackle complex themes. With Kit Harington’s addition to the cast, the show gained even more attention, blending star power with sharp writing. As Season 4 prepares to close, anticipation builds for the final season — one that promises to deliver the same mix of ambition, tension, and drama that has defined Industry since its start.
