Apple’s online store has sold out of the limited-edition Hikawa Phone Grip and Stand just days after its debut. The MagSafe-compatible accessory, designed to celebrate the 40th anniversary of accessibility at Apple, quickly became a fan favorite.
New Colors Coming in December
While the original Chartreuse and Crater versions are no longer available, Hikawa has announced two new colorways: Cobalt and Blurple Swirl. These will launch in early December and are now available for preorder directly through Hikawa’s website.
The grips retail for £55 (about $72 USD), with international shipping offered. Stock is expected to be limited, making preorders the best way to secure one.
Design and Accessibility Focus
Created by LA-based designer Bailey Hikawa, the accessory attaches magnetically to any iPhone with MagSafe. It can be removed easily and doubles as a stand, offering two viewing angles in both vertical and horizontal orientations.
The design process was inspired by modern sculpture and included input from individuals with disabilities affecting muscle strength, dexterity, and hand control. This accessibility-driven approach has made the Hikawa Grip both functional and stylish.

Apple’s Latest Ad Campaign
The Hikawa launch coincides with Apple’s new ad for the iPhone 17 Pro, highlighting its vapor chamber cooling system and A19 Pro chip. The ad, titled “Peak Performance,” emphasizes the device’s ability to handle over 35 trillion complex tasks per second while maintaining 40% better sustained performance.
The iPhone 17 Pro starts at $1,099, while the Pro Max is priced at $1,199. These models sit above the $999 iPhone Air and the $799 iPhone 17, offering Apple’s most advanced features to date.
