Influencer and streamer India Love has apologized in an emotional livestream following intense backlash over her behavior at the 2025 Streamer Awards, where she interrupted the stage during the Breakout Streamer of the Year announcement. The viral moment sparked widespread criticism online, with viewers accusing her of overshadowing winner FaZe Adapt during one of the ceremony’s biggest highlights.
The 26-year-old took full accountability for the incident, addressing her actions in a tearful broadcast and insisting she was not attempting to defend or justify her behavior.
“This Is a True Apology — No Excuses”
India Love opened her statement by acknowledging the harm she caused.
“This is a true apology, meaning no excuses or explanations for my behavior,” she said, calling her actions “completely unnecessary and distasteful.”
She admitted that she was under the influence at the time but refused to blame substances for her conduct.
“Right is right and wrong is wrong. And I was completely wrong.”
The influencer also said the incident did not reflect her values or the people who support her.
Direct Apology to FaZe Adapt and QT Cinderella
India Love directed personal apologies to FaZe Adapt, FaZe Clan, and event host QT Cinderella.
“There was no reason or excuse to diminish your light in your moment,” she said to FaZe Adapt, calling her actions “selfish and inconsiderate.”
She praised the FaZe organization for its accomplishments and expressed regret about overshadowing such recognition.
To QT Cinderella, she offered gratitude and remorse:
“I appreciate you inviting me. There is no excuse for my behavior. It was distasteful and unnecessary. I had no business being on that stage.”
“If the Shoe Was on the Other Foot…”
Throughout the livestream, she stressed the importance of accountability rather than image control.
“If someone did that to me, I would feel absolutely terrible,” she said. “So I can only imagine how I made everybody feel in that building.”
She described being caught in a cycle of repeating mistakes and emphasized the need for personal growth.
“I’m too grown to be doing what I did.”
“Your Mistakes Can Either Be a Coffin or a Classroom”
One of the most quoted lines from the apology captured her hope for change:
“Your mistakes can either be a coffin or a classroom. They can teach you, or they can be the thing that takes you under.”
India Love added that she intends to step back from public appearances temporarily to reflect.
“There’s nothing I can say other than let my actions speak. I need to be better to myself and to my community.”
Whether the apology will ease tensions remains uncertain, but the influencer made clear that she intends to move forward responsibly.
