Jack Osbourne is honoring his late father, Ozzy Osbourne, in a deeply personal way. The Osbournes alum has welcomed his fifth child, a baby girl named Ozzy Matilda Osbourne, keeping the rock legend’s memory alive.
A Special Name
Jack, 40, announced the news on Instagram on March 11, sharing that his daughter was born on March 5. “She’s arrived and she’s perfect,” he wrote in a story. His wife, Aree Osbourne, also posted: “Our Ozzy Matilda Osbourne has landed earthside.” The couple shared the announcement alongside Jack’s mother, Sharon Osbourne.
Honoring Ozzy’s Legacy
Ozzy Osbourne, cofounder of Black Sabbath, passed away in July 2025 at age 76 following a heart attack. He had also been battling Parkinson’s disease. The legendary rocker left behind six children from two marriages, including Jack, Kelly, and Aimee with Sharon Osbourne. Jack’s choice to name his daughter after his father reflects the enduring impact Ozzy had on his family and fans worldwide.
Jack’s Family Life
Jack has now welcomed five children. He shares three daughters with his ex-wife Lisa Stelly and has two children with Aree, whom he married in 2023. Their first child together was born in 2022. The new arrival comes less than a year after Jack reflected on his father’s passing in a YouTube video. He described feeling “pain” and “sadness” but also relief that Ozzy was no longer suffering. “I wish he was still here. I wish he was still with us all. But he was having a rough go,” Jack said.
Coping With Loss
Jack has spoken openly about how his wife’s pregnancy helped him through grief. “It very much took energy out of the grieving side of things and parked in a bit more hopefulness,” he told The Sun. By naming his daughter Ozzy, Jack has created a lasting tribute to his father’s legacy, ensuring the name lives on in the next generation of the Osbourne family.
