Liam Gallagher says he is fully committed to sobriety again after briefly drinking during the final stop of the Oasis Live ’25 Reunion Tour. The 53-year-old rocker, who previously credited the tour for helping him get clean, revealed on social media that he temporarily slipped but quickly returned to a sober lifestyle.

Earlier this month, Gallagher told fans that the reunion tour had “saved his life,” explaining that preparing for the shows pushed him to quit drinking and using drugs. He wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on November 9, saying the decision to stop was necessary for both his health and his fans.

“Oasis saved my life it’s about time I sorted my nappa out… stopping drinking and smoking and snorting Gary baldies are sacrifices that needed to be made,” Gallagher posted.

“Had a few beers—wasn’t feeling it”

When the tour concluded in São Paulo, Brazil on November 23, Gallagher admitted that he celebrated with a few drinks. Responding to a fan who asked if he got “blitzed,” Gallagher said he “only had 5 lagers” and quickly realized he did not enjoy it.

Just days later, on November 27, he confirmed that he had already returned to sobriety, sharing:

“I had a few beers wasn’t feeling it I’m back on the righteous path free from temptation.”

Gallagher added that he is genuinely enjoying his sober lifestyle, suggesting this slip served as a reminder rather than a derailment.

Gratitude Toward Fans

In another message posted November 24, Gallagher expressed heartfelt thanks to fans who supported the highly anticipated reunion tour.

“To all OASIS fans around the world young middle aged old as f— THANKYOU from the bottom of my heart… without you [we’re] just a good band with you [we’re] the BEST BAND ON THE F—— PLANET,” he wrote.

The Oasis Live ’25 Tour marked the band’s first run together in years and drew massive global crowds. Fans and industry insiders have called the tour one of the most significant rock comebacks of the decade.

A Renewed Chapter for the Rock Legend

Gallagher, known for his outspoken personality and turbulent history with addiction, has openly discussed sobriety in recent years. Many fans responded with support, praising his honesty and determination to stay healthy.

While it remains unclear whether additional Oasis shows or recordings are planned, the singer’s renewed commitment to wellness and gratitude toward fans have added momentum to speculation about what comes next.

For now, Gallagher seems focused on stability, reflection, and celebrating the success of a historic reunion that reconnected one of music’s most influential rock bands with its global fan base.
