Luke Grimes is embracing fatherhood while stepping back into his role as Kayce Dutton in CBS’s new Yellowstone spinoff, Marshals. At the Los Angeles premiere on February 24, the actor revealed that his wife, Bianca Rodrigues Grimes, and their 1‑year‑old son joined him throughout filming in Utah.
“They were with me the entire time,” Grimes told PEOPLE. “They basically moved to Park City for the entire shoot. They were five minutes from the sound stage, so they would come all the time.”
Baby’s Reaction
Grimes shared that his son was particularly amused by his cowboy hat. “My son thinks my cowboy hat is really funny,” he said. “He doesn’t understand why I have that big thing on my head, but he loves it. He’s very excited when he got to come to stage.”
The actor’s wardrobe has long been iconic in Yellowstone, and now it’s become a source of laughter for his little boy. The family’s presence on set gave Grimes a chance to balance his demanding filming schedule with quality time at home.
Parenthood Journey
Grimes and Bianca announced their pregnancy in August 2024 and welcomed their son in October. Bianca shared the news on Instagram with the caption, “Welcome to the world little man .” A week later, she posted a family photo with the words, “And then there were 3 .”
Reflecting on fatherhood shortly after his son’s birth, Grimes told PEOPLE, “It’s like there’s a love growing inside of me that I didn’t know I was capable of, and it’s incredible and it’s scary because you have so much more skin in the game.”
