Lux Pascal is stepping into a dream role — and her brother Pedro couldn’t be prouder. The actress made her debut on FX’s The Beauty in episode 6, playing Clara, a scientist navigating her gender transition while confronting the dangers of a powerful transformation drug.
Pedro’s Excitement
Lux, 33, told PEOPLE that Pedro was “over the roof” when she shared the news of her casting. “He knows how big of a fan I am of Ryan Murphy. So, I was just over the roof and he was over the roof for me,” she said. Pedro, 50, has long supported his sister’s career, often celebrating her milestones.
A Long-Awaited Dream
Lux admitted she had auditioned for several Murphy projects before landing this role. “I’ve always been captivated by his vision,” she explained. “Finally this one was the right fit and I was just, like, so, so excited.”
Her career already includes appearances in Narcos alongside Pedro, leading the 2025 biopic Miss Carbón, starring in Chilean productions, and performing Off-Broadway in Richard II. She has also joined the ensemble cast of Tom Ford’s upcoming film.
Ryan Murphy’s Praise
Lux revealed that Murphy personally messaged her after watching edits of her episode. “He texted me this beautiful, heartfelt message — and it was so funny because I was having such a hard day that day, and that just turned it completely around,” she said.
Sibling Bond
Reflecting on their childhood, Lux recalled Pedro’s constant presence even when they lived in different countries. “He always showed up,” she said. “We protect each other very much. He protects me a lot, but I protect him too.”
The Beauty’s Dark Premise
The FX thriller explores a virus that makes people beautiful but is also lethal. Lux’s character Clara embodies the show’s themes of transformation and danger, adding depth to the series. With Pedro cheering her on and Murphy’s approval, Lux Pascal’s debut marks a powerful new chapter in her career.
